Castle De Haar
“I like the cycling path to the castle which is filled with beautiful farmhouses and fruit gardens. You can easily visit the farms you see on the road, or buy fresh cherry, strawberries or blueberries in the summer.”

University Hall
“This is the heart of all academic ceremonies. Not only it is architecturally pleasing but also it has witnessed a key event in Dutch history. It is where the Union of Utrecht had been signed, which ultimately led to the formation of the Dutch Republic!”

Fortress bij Rijnauwen
“It’s hard to miss Fort Rijnauwen if you go on your morning runs around the forest in Amelisweerd. The history behind the walls adds a bit of character to the forest and its beautiful flora and fauna. The sunset walks there are amazing too, definitely check it out in the early months of May, when it’s the perfect weather”

Historical square Janskerkhof
“Janskerhof is one of my favorite places in Utrecht, not only is the Utrecht city centre university very close to Janskerkhof, but every Saturday they have a flower market here, which I love!”

College Hall
“I attend my lectures in this beautiful building on the international campus. It is easy to reach by public transport. I always go by bike. From my house in the city centre, I can reach the campus within 10 minutes.”
